"Appearance" Zine

5.5" x 8.5", 30 pages w/ 2 pull-out posters “Appearance” is a publication “zine” meant to confront the beauty standards and issues of our modern day world. Most images and text have been taken from “Mode in Dress and Home” by Dulcie Godlove Donovan, a life and wellness book from the 1930s provided by the Prelinger Library in San Francisco, California. By using images from the 1930s to present the ideas of modern day, this publication shows how although progress has been made, some beauty standards still exist today.
